ETYMOLOGY
HOW TO WEAR IT/ FIT & SIZE
The overshirt is a combination of several different casual garments, ranging from military undershirts to civilian work jackets. It originated in early 20th century European workwear being worn by labourers, craftspeople and artists to cover up their suits and ties before the introduction of uniforms, the breast pocket was convenient to keep their tools within reach .
Formal
Brieuc is 189 cm and wears a size V.
Fashion
Wear it with our Fender twill wool pants for a formal look, and our Hans Blazer on top. All rigorously in black
Casual
Layer it with the knitted alpaca tank top, and fender black wool trousers, for a simple yet sophisticated party look.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
World Map satin black on black bomber jacket, jeans and biker boots, for the ultimate urban safari look.
ASSEMBLY
The overshirt has an all-over animal print which has been created by closely studying a zebra pattern and turning it into a repeated print. The print is digital on artificial suede, that has a peachy and warm surface.
WHATS SPECIAL/FINISHING
The raglan sleeves with a dropped shoulder present a relaxed finish. It creates a different dimension of the animal print to stand out, this can also been be found with the waist and sleeve seam detail. The overshirt is unlined and instead the seams are finished with ink splatter binding.
FINISHING
The patch pockets are secured with buttons and the flap is topstitched for a decorative finish. The cuffs on the sleeves are functional and the back of the overshirt has a yoke feature, in the animal print. Below the yoke to finish the rest of the back of the overshirt is a knitted jacquard feature, a signature of POAN we use in many of our over shirts and jackets.
Fabric Composition
Our label is stitched in by hand in a japanese quilting technique for each garment to ensure its authenticity.
